Carl "Tuff or Wink" Wayne Winkleman

 Carl Wayne “Tuff” or “Wink” Winkleman, age 68, of Christy Creek Road, Morehead, peacefully passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026, at UK - St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead surrounded by his loving family.

Born February 7, 1958, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Roy Junior Winkleman and Nannie Faye Waddell Winkleman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amber Dawn Winkleman Robinette; a granddaughter, Elaina Skie Robinette; and two brothers, Glennis Ray Winkleman and James Roger Winkleman.

Tuff is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Brenda Stevens Winkleman, whom he married January 20, 1978; a son, Bradley (Rebecca) Winkleman; and a daughter, Lori Winkleman, all of Morehead. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Michael Robinette, Jada Robinette, Logan Winkleman, Haley Winkleman, Lakean Bond, and Saydee Hamilton; and one great-grandson, Carson Winkleman.

Additional survivors include two brothers, Billy Joe (Trina) Winkleman and Charlie Roy (Tammy) Winkleman; one sister, Brenda Sue (Terry) Wallace; one sister-in-law, Beverly Winkleman; one brother in-law, Randy (Debbie) Stevens, all of Morehead; many nieces and nephews; extended family members; and many dear friends.

Wink retired in 2023 after 47 years of dedicated service with Sealmaster Bearing as a calibration technician. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, building furniture, and keeping his lawn neatly groomed in the summertime. He also enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball and softball. Above all, he loved his family and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. His legacy and memories will be lovingly remembered and shared by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Caldwell, Brother Bobby Day, and Pastor Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Ditney Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mark Porter, Roger Fouch, T. J. Wallace, Donnie Waddell, Danny Waddell, and Larry Coldiron.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Ferguson, Bobby Mabry, Logan Winkleman, and Mikey Robinette.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
