Eddie Dean Sorrell, Sr.

Eddie Dean Sorrell, Sr., age 66, of Bunker Hill Road, Mt. Sterling, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington surrounded by his loving family.

Born December 19, 1959, in Winchester, he was the son of the late Lela Faye Sorrell Holden.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Robin Borders Sorrell, whom he married on September 29, 1978; three special children, Eddie Sorrell, Jr. and wife Anissa of Lexington, Nathan Sorrell and wife Jamie of Mt. Sterling, and Carrie Crockett and husband David of Louisville; and five cherished grandchildren, Zachary, Carter, Laci, Levi, and Lucy.

Also surviving are one brother, Tim Baber of Odessa, Texas; two sisters, Susan Schultz and husband Rick of Abilene, Texas, and Carmen Holden of Fort Worth, Texas; two aunts, Clarine Thomas of Winchester and Ann Spencer of Mt. Sterling; a host of nieces and nephews; as well as other extended family members and an abundance of special friends.

He was presently a quality control specialist for Momentum Construction. Throughout his career, he was a master floor mechanic and former Vice President of Momentum Construction. Eddie was a man of strong faith and served as an elder at Better Life Church. He had a contagious smile and never met a stranger. Eddie enjoyed hunting and fishing, but above all, he loved his family.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The family will begin accepting family and friends at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2026. They encourage all to join them in a celebration of life beginning at 7 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Lucas officiating at Better Life Church, 111 BLC Road, Morehead, KY 40351.
