Teresa Ann (White) Padgett

Teresa Ann White Padgett, age 63, of Open Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026, at UK St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born October 17, 1962, in Rowan County, Teresa is the daughter of Lonnie Edward “Eddie” White and Carol Ann Mabry White of Morehead.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mark Padgett, whom she married December 19, 1982; two special sons, Jeremy Padgett and wife Melodie of Florence and Ryan Padgett of Morehead; one brother, Terry White and wife Patty of Morehead; as well as several aunts, cousins, and other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Earl and Della White, and her mother-in-law, Leona Jean Whitt Padgett Adkins.

She was a 1980 Valedictorian graduate of Rowan County High School and later earned her nursing degree from Morehead State University. Teresa worked in various hospitals throughout Kentucky but spent most of her career at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. She was a very caring person who took great pride in her profession.

Her greatest joy was being a mother, caring for her two sons, and keeping close contact with her mother. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and especially going to the movies and traveling with Mark. Her memory will be everlasting to those who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Padgett, Jeremy Padgett, Justin Padgett, Austin Padgett, Terry White, and Ron Fannin.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
